We’ve lost another wonderful character actor as The New York Times has confirmed the sad news of the passing of Alice Drummond at age 88. Drummond’s friend June Gable confirmed the news of her demise after complications that began to develop because of a fall she sustained a few months ago.
Alice enjoyed a long career appearing in many films like Doubt, Pieces of April, Tales From the Darkside: The Movie and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, but us genre fans will always remember her from her role as the librarian in Ghostbusters.
We here at Dread Central would like to extend our sincerest of condolences to Drummond’s friends, family, and constituents. Thank you Alice, and godspeed.
