Some incredibly different (and talented) filmmakers could be fairly close to signing onto what has to be on the most unlikely film premises of all time. Will it happen? Sounds like it!
Deadline says that Pride and Prejudice and Zombies‘ original director, David O. Russell, had lined up Bradley Cooper (Midnight Meat Train) and Scarlett Johansson (Lost in Translation) to headline the zombie adaptation. With Russell having walked, Lionsgate is looking at a short list of replacements: Mike Newell (Prince of Persia), Neil Marshall (The Descent) and David Slade (30 Days of Night).
Additionally, Bloody Disgusting has learned that the studio has extended casting offers to Cooper along with Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) and Tilda Swinton (Constantine). No word on who (if anyone) has accepted, but watch this space for more info.
