Our friends over at Terror Films have just sent us exclusive information on their upcoming slate of films for 2017, and we have all the info alongside lots of eye candy! Dig it!

From the Press Release:
Quickly rising genre distributor Terror Films will be starting off its 2017 release slate with the highly anticipated documentary Unearthed and Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary. The film is a detailed look into the making of the original Pet Sematary, one of the most enduring cult-horror classics of our generation, and is slated for release on January 13, 2017, across all major digital platforms.

Unearthed and Untold

The release of the documentary will be followed by the multi-award winning film Savageland, about a small town near the Arizona-Mexico Border that is wiped out overnight. Suspicion falls on the lone survivor, but a roll of photos the survivor took that night tells a very different and chilling story. An exact release date has yet to be determined.

Savageland

In addition, the genre distributor has finalized several deals for its 2017 slate. The first title is the Australian film Inner Demon from writer/director Ursula Dabrowsky. It is about a teenage girl who is abducted by a serial killer couple. She manages to escape and find refuge in an isolated farmhouse, only to discover it is home to greater horrors and a malevolent spirit. Terror Films acquired the film for worldwide rights after discovering it at the Fear Fete Film Festival.

Inner Demon

Next is the female-led thriller/drama The Tribe from director Roxy Shih and starring Jessica Rothe (La La Land). It is about a family of three young sisters living out their days after a pandemic has consumed most of the known world. One day a stranger suddenly shows up, and their world changes in ways they never could have imagined. The film was acquired from High Octane Pictures for U.S. rights.

The Tribe

The award-winning Welsh film The Passing from director Gareth Bryn garnered actor Mark Lewis Jones the Wales BAFTA Award for Best Actor. It is about two young lovers who crash their car into a ravine in the remote mountains of Wales. Dragged from the river by a mysterious figure, they are taken to a ramshackle farm, a place untouched by time. As events unfold, we learn the explosive truth about the young couple’s past. More unsettling still, we discover the truth about the man who saved them and the tragedy of the valley he once called home. The film was acquired from XYZ Films for U.S. rights.

The Passing

Rounding out the company’s recent acquisitions is the controversial film Del Playa directed by Shaun Hart and produced by Berger Bros. Entertainment. The film follows a troubled young man who, after being rejected by girls and bullied by his peers, turns to violence. Just hours after the trailer for the film hit YouTube in 2015, protesters started a Charge.org petition, demanding that the film halt its release. It also proposed that filmmakers change the name of the film and contribute to a memorial fund for the victims, which the distributor plans to do in cooperation with the filmmakers.

Exact release dates have yet to be set.

The company is actively negotiating six more titles for 2017.
