DreamWorks Pushes Fright Night 3D UP!

Make a Date With Fright Night 3DSay what you will about the upcoming Friday Night remake (and now that it’s been announced in 3D, I’ll say fuck you) but the studio seems mighty confident in what has got to be one of the most prestigious rehashes in recent memory.

DreamWorks announced today that they have moved their vampire remake UP into the incredibly competitive summer arena. Fright Night will hit theaters on August 19, 2011 – a whole two months earlier than originally announced.

For those of you who’ve been sleeping: Colin Farrell is Jerry Dandridge, Christopher Mintz-Plasse is Evil Ed, while “Doctor Who”‘s David Tennant will be playing Peter Vincent. To all of this I say, who cares? Instead, I’m asking Sony when I can look forward to the special edition of Blu-ray of the original 1985 Tom Holland classic.

C’mon Sony … make it so!
