According to Variety Clive Barker alumni Anthony DiBlasi (pictured right) has signed on to helm indie supernatural thriller Cassadaga, starring Kelen Coleman (“CSI:NY”), Kevin Alejandro (“True Blood”) and Louise Fletcher (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest). The film, penned by Bruce Wood, centers on a deaf girl who attempts to contact her late sister’s spirit during a seance but instead attracts the avenging ghost of a murdered woman.
Our boys over at Bloody Disgusting report that Rus Blackwell (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Hank Stone (The Punisher), J LaRose (Saw III, Mother’s Day, Insidious), and Amy LoCicero (“Drop Dead Diva”) round out the cast.
The film is set in Cassadaga, Florida — known as the psychic capital of America. Filming began Monday on location.
