Trent Reznor Developing Mini-Series Year Zero at HBOI feel like I’m probably the wrong person to write this article because I’m not a big Trent Reznor fan and, therefore, don’t know a whole lot about this Year Zero miniseries he now has set up at HBO. If you are familiar with the Year Zero album and Alternate Reality Game (ARG) it spawned, then you’re more up-to-speed than I am.

The LA Times “Hero Complex” reports that Trent Reznor is now in the development phase of the “grim, sci-fi” miniseries Year Zero with HBO and BBC Worldwide Productions.

Reznor has partnered with Tarantino producer Laurence Bender and “Roswell” executive producer Kevin Kelly Brown to bring the long gestating project to fruition. “Carnivale” creator Daniel Knauf is busy revising the show bible in preparation of the show fully swinging into production.

So what is Year Zero about? According to the article, “Year Zero began (as so many things do in the music of Nine Inch Nails) from a place of wrenching emotion and sonic adventure. Reznor found himself increasingly outraged by the geopolitical situation during the Bush years and he wanted to express the fury in music, but he found himself bored by traditional approaches to protest music.”

Look for more on this one soon.
