International Trailer Debut: Troll Hunter

The full international trailer for our new favorite holy shit! film, Troll Hunter, has just popped up online, and as always we have your hot ticket to see it!

Fans of giant monster movies such as Cloverfield will be thrilled upon feasting their eyes on the goodies below. Andre Ovreda’s cinéma-vérité style monster mash focuses on a group of students who discover what they believe is a government conspiracy to keep the existence of trolls in the north of Norway hidden from the general public.

From what we hear, the film will begin screenings soon, and you can count on us to get you the skinny once the time arrives. In the meantime prepare to want to see more.

    Ehh..I dunno. The trailer left me kind of cold, actually. The idea of modern humans running afoul of mythical creatures was done successfully about two years ago in the terrific Jack Brooks:Monster Slayer (which opened with a forest troll and closed with a cyclops) using practical effects that were a lot more convincing than the CGI I’m seeing here.
    And,hey, let’s get past the documentary/hand held concept already. Sweet fucking Jehosophat that shtick is tired.

    I love the European design they used for the trols, looks a lot like the old fantasy drawings by Anton Piek.
    Can’t wait for this!
