Not sure how much of a spoiler this one is going to be, if at all really, but just to play it safe – and to keep you spoiler hating villagers what with your torches and pitchforks at bay – we’re labeling it as such!

According to AVP: Galaxy Guy Pearce will be reprising his role as a slightly younger Peter Weyland during the film’s opening scenes. The current edit of Alien: Covenant begins with David 8 (Michael Fassbender) being brought online in a large white room with a grand view overlooking an ocean… the spoilers go on from there describing the scene so click on the above link if you want even more.

The cast includes Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Benjamin Rigby, Demian Bichir, Danny McBride, Jussie Smollett, Amy Seimetz, Carmen Ejogo, and Callie Hernandez.
Specific plot details for the new film are being closely guarded; but it is believed to follow the crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet, who discover what they believe is an uncharted paradise but is, in fact, a dark, dangerous world, the only inhabitant of which is David (Fassbender), the “synthetic” and survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.
