Exclusive: Deon Taylor Announces Night Tales Revamping & New Producing Partner Jamie Foxx

It’s not often we write articles about award-winning performers here on Dread Central, which makes this all the more exciting for yours truly. This past weekend Deon Taylor (Dead Tone, Chain Letter) invited Dread Central exclusively out to his set in Los Angeles to give us a look at the revamping of his Night Tales (previously Nite Tales) brand of horror.
Previously hosted by everyone’s favorite hip-hop hype man Flavor Flav, the new Night Tales will be hosted by Stacey Dash (Clueless) as a vampiress, demonstrating a new, serious and sexy direction for both the television series as well as the feature film.
In addition to the new direction of Night Tales, Taylor also introduced us to his brand new producing partner, Oscar and Grammy Award winner Jamie Foxx. The collaboration marks Foxx’s first true foray into the horror genre, something that excites the renowned actor greatly.
Along with bringing in Dash as a new host and Foxx as an executive producer, Taylor is looking to feature some Hollywood heavyweights in the upcoming Season Two of Night Tales, including Jeremy Piven, Denise Richards, and Jake Gyllenhaal just to name a few. Wu-Tang’s Method Man was on hand this past weekend to shoot a promotional video for Night Tales, and the self-professed horror geek even got to “wolf out” in werewolf prosthetics, hearkening back to the Michael Jackson “Thriller” days.
Taylor, not content with taking Night Tales to the next level just in television and films, is branching out the brand and is also currently in development with Brian Pulido (director, The Graves and Lady Vengeance comic series creator) to launch a comic book series under the Night Tales banner and is creating a music division as well.
