After the crazy twist “The Vampire Diaries” provided this past Thursday, fans are chomping at the bit for news of what other mayhem awaits in the already fast and furious Season 2. How about a preview of Ep. 3, “Bad Moon Rising” and summaries of what we can expect in Eps. 4 and 5, “Memory Lane” and “Kill or Be Killed”, respectively?

It looks like werewolves are rearing their ugly heads this coming September 23rd on “Bad Moon Rising”:

The Vampire DiariesSynopsis:
Elena (Nina Dobrev), Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and Alaric (Matt Davis) take a road trip to Duke University and search through Isobel’s research on folklore and paranormal phenomena to see if they can uncover any clues to the mystery surrounding the Lockwood family. Isobel’s former student, Vanessa (guest star Courtney Ford), offers to guide them through the research and ends up getting quite an education herself. Stefan (Paul Wesley) comes face to face with a terrifying new danger in the woods, and Tyler (Michael Trevino) makes a shocking discovery about Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney). Steve R. McQueen, Katerina Graham, Sara Canning, Candice Accola, and Zach Roerig also star. Patrick Norris directed the episode written by Andrew Chambliss.

Then, on September 30th we’ll be taking a trip down “Memory Lane” as Damon makes a dangerous enemy:

Stefan (Paul Wesley) takes drastic measures to find out the real reason Katherine (Nina Dobrev) has returned to Mystic Falls and is shocked when she reveals new secrets about what really happened in 1864. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) tries a new tactic to resolve his issues with Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney) … but it proves costly. Tyler (Michael Trevino) pushes Mason to tell him the truth about the Lockwoods. Finally, when Katherine delivers an ultimatum, Stefan and Elena (Nina Dobrev) are left with very few options. Sara Canning, Candice Accola, Zach Roerig and Matt Davis also star. Rob Hardy directed the episode written by Caroline Dries.

Uncle Mason’s past is revealed during “Kill or Be Killed”, airing October 7th:

Tyler (Michael Trevino) learns more about the Lockwood family curse from Mason (guest star Taylor Kinney). Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) argue over how to handle Mason. Elena (Nina Dobrev) tries to keep Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) from becoming more involved with the Lockwood mystery, but Jeremy makes an effort to hang out with Tyler. Mason gives Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) some startling information, leading to a night of violence, confession and heartbreak. Candice Accola also stars. Jeff Woolnough directed the episode written by Mike Daniels.

One thing you can’t complain about with “The Vampire Diaries” is a storyline being dragged out. From these descriptions it’s obvious Season Two is indeed off and running! For more visit the official “The Vampire Diaries” website.
