There are horror icons, and then there are horror icons like Robert Englund. Which is no doubt why NBC’s “Chuck” has been courting him to appear in their 2010 Halloween episode. According to EW’s The Ausiello Files, they’ve been successful.
Here’s the full skinny: The NBC spyomedy “Chuck” has tapped the original Freddy Krueger — a.k.a. Robert Englund — to guest-star in next month’s Halloween episode. Englund will play Dr. Stanley Wheelwright, an evil scientist who can make your waking life a nightmare. He’ll appear in this season’s sixth episode, titled “Chuck Versus Aisle of Terror.”
Englund joins several other genre actors who will be guesting on the show this season including Linda Hamilton, Eric Roberts, Lou Ferrigno, and Dolph Lundgren.
I’ve actually never watched the show, but that storyline sure sounds intriguing. Any “Chuck” fans want to chime in with comments below?
