Early Look at the Henchman Werewolf from The Howling Reborn

For a werewolf movie to be any good, it really needs a bitchin’ looking monster. Other than the first film in The Howling franchise, most of the beasts in it have been mediocre at best. Though we have to say, it looks as if the folks behind the Joe Nimziki directed sequel, The Howling Reborn, are off to a fine start!

The company behind the project, Moonstone Entertainment, has finally released a plot crunch for the film so dig it below to get your first idea of what to expect.

On the eve of his high school graduation, unremarkable Will Kidman finally bonds with the girl he has long yearned for, reclusive Eliana Wynter. But he also discovers a dark secret from his past … that he is about to become a werewolf. Now, in an effort to fight destiny and save their love as well as their lives, they must battle not only Will’s growing bloodlust but an army of fearsome beasts bent on killing them … and then, us all.

Shooting begins in Montreal, Canada later this year. In the interim dig on the image below courtesy of Arrow in the Head.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

What’s up with all the bald werewolves these days? Is fur really that expensive?

Is this reboot being helmed by Aaron Seltzer and Jason Friedberg?
“We are bad guys. That means we’ve got more to do other than bullying companies. It’s fun to lead a bad man’s life.”

Oh my God, that’s what happened to Ross Perot; he became a werewolf.

God help me but I’m really looking forward to this. The Howling series is maybe my favorite franchise of bad movies (not counting the first one which I love). I just want to see if they can top the last one for sheer badness and the second and third ones for sheer strangeness.
