Fan-Made Madman Marz Trailer Slashes its Way Online

While we all wait patiently for another hint of word regarding the long proposed sequel to the much beloved Eighties slasher Madman, some fans have gotten together and shot their own trailer for the sequel. Note this is FAN-MADE and not official, but since we admire their passion, we figured we’d share it with you anyway!

The trailer below entitled Madman Marz was written and directed by Jason Jenkins. Check it out below and don’t forget Code Red will be dropping the original flick onto DVD along with a brand new anamorphic widescreen transfer on September 28th. Excited? We are! So excited even it’s time to sing the theme song!

Lore of the campfire telling of his horror
Lost in the woods with the madman and the stars
Don’t laugh at the tale
Heed if you call him
The legend lives beware the Madman Marz
THE LEGEND LIVES beware the Madman Marz

Ah, that felt good. Anyway …. on to the goods …

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

true on that Cinemascribe, the Atmosphere in MadMan is much better then the burning, But i always felt that the burning had much more characters(victims) that act very REAL and are very Likable, every one of those kids in the Burning is Likable and believable in their own way, Plus i felt The Burning has a creepier Killler and bloodier, more mean spirited kills (come on “the RAFT MASSACRE” scene is fucking priceless)
but hey to each his own

Creepy, i’m gonna go out and say this but I felt “the Burning” was a much better SummerCamp Slasher Film
don’t get me wrong “Madman” is a Slasher Classic

Hmmmm.. I gotta disagree, JC. I think Madman did a superior job of capturing that “urban legend” vibe both films went for.

Although (if memory serves) The Burning is the bloodier film overall, I thought Madman was creepier..and that scene with the hood of the truck is an all time classic.

I will not be purchasing the new DVD however. I already own the original widescreen DVD release and it’s just fine. Looks good, plays well and suits my needs (I’m not an extras man).I don’t double dip if I can avoid it.
