Over the weekend we speculated that a new ghastly image that debuted on the website for the Toronto International Film Festival was for James Wan’s latest fright flick Insidious in support of its Midnight Madness line-up. Today confirmation came along with the full image itself.
With Insidious Wan reunites with Saw co-writer Leigh Whannell on the film, which follows a young family that makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further.
The Midnight Madness Package is $157, and available to students and seniors for $100 (prices exclude taxes and fees). “When proud parents take possession of an old house, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn’t stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm in this new chiller by the director and writer of Saw and by the producers of Paranormal Activity. The film stars Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey and Patrick Wilson.”
