Underworld 4 Release Date Pushed to January 2012

So it appears things aren’t coming together as quickly as hoped for the latest Underworld installment as its release date has just been pushed back from September 23, 2011, to January 20, 2012.
Word of the date change came from Box Office Mojo, which also has the Sony/Screen Gems flick listed as being in 3D. No surprise there although that could have something with the delay. This marks the second shift for the flick, which was originally slated for January 21, 2011.
As reported previously, John Hlavin (“The Shield”) is penning the script, and hopes are for Kate Beckinsale to return to the role of Selene (albeit in a smaller capacity; there’s talk of “passing the torch”) with hubby Len Wiseman directing.
