Director Shares Annabelle 2 Behind-the-Scenes Image

The spinoff gets a sequel with upcoming horror flick Annabelle 2, and this time around it’s Lights Out director David F. Sandberg who hopes to make the titular doll a recurring player in our collective nightmares. On tap today is a behind-the-scenes shot, along with the first word of a teaser.

Over on Twitter, Sandberg (@ponysmasher) shared the image of him directing Annabelle on set, noting that we should all “get ready for an announcement teaser tomorrow!” We”ll of course post the teaser once we have it, but in the meantime, check out the aforementioned photo below!

The full cast includes Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), Talitha Bateman (The 5th Wave), Lulu Wilson (Ouija 2, Deliver Us from Evil), Philippa Anne Coulthard (After the Dark), Grace Fulton (Badland), Lou Lou Safran (The Choice), Samara Lee (Foxcatcher, The Last Witch Hunter), and Tayler Buck in her feature film debut, with Anthony LaPaglia (TV’s “Without a Trace”) and Miranda Otto (Showtime’s “Homeland,” The Lord of the Rings Trilogy).

The new film is once again produced by Peter Safran and James Wan, who also partnered on The Conjuring movies.

Collaborating with Sandberg behind the scenes from his Lights Out team are production designer Jennifer Spence and editor Michel Aller, joined by director of photography Maxime Alexandre (The Other Side of the Door) and costume designer Leah Butler (Paranormal Activity 3 & 4).

Synopsis:
Several years after the tragic death of their little girl, a dollmaker and his wife welcome a nun and several girls from a shuttered orphanage into their home, soon becoming the target of the dollmaker’s possessed creation, Annabelle.
