Jonah Hex Rides To DVD and Blu-ray

While Jonah Hex didn’t do much to ignite the box office this summer, we definitely didn’t have to wait all that long for a home video release as Warner Brothers has announced a Blu-ray/DVD release for mid-October.

DVD Active tells us that Jonah Hex will hit DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) on October 12th. For those of you looking to check out the DVD, you’re out in the cold as far as supplementary material is concerned because there’s just a set of deleted scenes. The Blu-ray disc offers these deleted scenes and two featurettes: The Inside Story of Jonah Hex and The Weird Western Tales of Jonah Hex.

Scarred bounty hunter Jonah Hex (Brolin) is charged with tracking and hunting down his oldest enemy who is preparing to unleash Hell.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear as though Warner Brothers is looking to release the rumored director’s cut that would allow people to see what might’ve been had this rolled out with the intended R rating.
