Official US Green Band Trailer – Let Me In

The official US trailer for Matt Reeves’ Let Me In, which takes its title directly from the source material by author John Ajvide Lindqvist, is finally here, so now’s your chance to decide if this one is a sinker or a swimmer for your box office dollar.

“Chloe Moretz (Hit Girl from Kick-Ass) stars as Abby, a secretive 12-year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee, The Road). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbour. Owen can’t help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.”

Very nice trailer, and that poster is phenomenal!

In a time where the vampire trend had me totally sick of “love” stories involving fangs, Let The Right One In was a refreshing reminder of how well such stories can be told when it’s done for art, not the almighty female tween dollar.

Here’s hoping Let Me In can even hold a candle. I’m not denouncing it yet, but I’m very apprehensive.
