San Diego Comic-Con 2010: Brother and Sister to Collide in Next Season of Dexter

Many twists and turns are coming in this next season of “Dexter”. The storyline is more involved than it’s ever been before, and not even the cast is aware of where the character arcs are headed. Good thing you have us around to clue you in to some early details of what to expect this fall.
Nomad called in with the details —
In the upcoming season Dexter’s sister Debra (Jennifer Carpenter) has grown into a more competent, confident cop, or at least she things that she has. But just when you think the writers are bringing her and her brother closer together, they find a new way to screw up the trust that they have in each other.
Carpenter mentioned that she feels her character is talking to Dexter when in reality she’s just talking at him. Something she feels many may be guilty of in that people have a tendency to create their own reality instead of acknowledging the facts. When she feels she’s making an emotional connection with her brother, Dexter is busy thinking about his next kill. She feels Debra has all the instincts to figure out what Dexter is doing, and she’s ready to find out.
