Though Ernest Dickerson’s last horror entry, the Masters of Horror episode “The V Word”, was a disappointing entry for the series, it seems he’s still willing to delve into the world of vampires.

BlackFilm got a scoop today that Dickerson is in line to direct The Un-Dead, the first legitimate, Stoker-estate approved sequel to Drcaula. The script was penned by Ian Holt and takes place 25 years after the events of Stoker’s landmark novel with reappearances by all the surviving characters, including Inspector Cotford, a character who was cut from the original novel. Jan de Bont is producing through his Blue Tulip Productions.

Additionally, BlackFilm learned that Monica Bellucci, John Hurt and Javier Bardem are all in talks to star in the film. Now that’d be some damn fine casting if it’s legit! Of course none of this is official as of yet, so keep with us as we learn more!
