The lovable loonies from Fewdio are back with a brand new short film, Firsts, that they’re debuting at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, and we’ve got the first stills to give you a taste of what to expect!
Firsts is about a teenage girl, Jodie (played by Alyson Daniel), who was raised by a devoutly religious (and perhaps slightly insane) aunt – played by Patricia Tallman (Army of Darkness, Night of the Living Dead – 1990, etc.). Alyson has come to the decision to lose her virginity to the boy she has a crush on, Corey (played by Damian Daly). After some soul searching, the two of them end up deep in the woods, and things get passionate … but there’s something in the woods with them. You may think you know what it is and why it’s there — but the terror comes not from where you’d expect. First times can be scarring — emotionally and otherwise …
The script was written by Ashley Maniw of Toronto, Canada, and it was the winner of the TalentHouse.com “Write a short horror script for Fewdio” competition. Ashley’s script was chosen from over 275 submissions and went through a small development process.
Fewdio be premiering Firsts at their Comic-Con booth (#4116) this year (July 22-25), and posting it to their Internet sites shortly afterward. In addition to showing the new short, they’ll be selling copies of their DVD, Nightmare House Vol. 1, featuring 13 of their past short films, along with t-shirts. Make sure to stop by and dig it!
