New Green Band Trailer – Neil Marshall’s Centurion

Another trailer has hit online for Neil Marshall’s latest film, Centurion, this time of the more friendly green band variety, and we’ve got your peek at the goodies to come.

Based on the legend of the Ninth Legion, an army of 3,000 unstoppable Roman warriors who vanished without a trace, Centurion is the tale of their vicious conflict with a murderous adversary, the Picts. Quintus Dias (Michael Fassbender), a Roman corporal, is taken hostage by the Pict King, Gorlacon, and the Ninth are charged with bringing him home and ending Pict domination of Britain. Led by General Virilus (Dominic West) and guided by a Pict prisoner and warrior woman named Etain (Olga Kurylenko), the army marches towards enemy territory and finds itself in the midst of a perilous battle with a mysterious foe.

Centurion premieres on VOD, XBOX and Amazon.com on July 30th and opens in theaters August 27th, 2010. More soon! Check out the new trailer by clicking below, and if you want something a bit more visceral, the red band trailer is there, too.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

It didn’t get much of a release over here in the uk.
I missed it but from what I hear it’s better than Doomsday but still not a ptach on Marshall’s earlier work.

Marshall was on the shortlist for Conan, but Lionsgate and Nu Image had a hard time agreeing on who should direct. Then again Marshall proberly walked away (can’t blame him)

I have the terrible feeling that Magnet is not going to get this movie the wide release it likely deserves.

P.S. Does anyone else think Marshall would have been the right choice for the Conan movie?

I wouldn’t be against the idea of him heading that project. I would probably also look forward to it a little more.
