Peter Weller Joins Showtime’s Dexter

Now we know Dexter Morgan is quite elusive, but damn it, did we have to get Robocop after him? Just think of the showdown possibilities! My money is on Batista jumping in to save Dex. What? Oh, Weller is joining but not as Robocop? That’s not nearly as much fun!
According to Deadline Hollywood “Peter Weller has joined the cast of Showtime’s hit drama Dexter. He will appear in eight of the 12 episodes from the show’s upcoming fifth season, playing a troubled Miami Metro police officer who gets caught up in an internal affairs investigation.”
Weller (pictured right) joins fellow new additions Stiles, Jonny Lee Miller, Maria Doyle Kennedy, April Lee Hernandez, and Shawn Hatosy, along with a returning Julie Benz for more Dark Passenger related mayhem.
The new season of “Dexter” is set to premiere on September 26th.
