The Exorcist is one of those rare films that just keep on giving. Despite decades slipping by, we’re still just as fascinated by William Friedkin’s 1973 film, based upon the novel by William Peter Blatty.

Thanks to a tweet sent out by Eyes on Cinema, we now have a rare look at some of the storyboards for the film drawn by production designer Bill Malley, which are just friggin’ magnificent. Check them out below.

Synopsis:
When a charming 12-year-old girl (Linda Blair) takes on the characteristics and voices of others, doctors say there is nothing they can do. As people begin to die, the girl’s mother (Ellen Burstyn) realizes her daughter has been possessed by the devil–and that her daughter’s only possible hope lies with two priests (Max Von Sydow and Jason Miller) and the ancient rite of demonic exorcism.
