Ever since they began developing their own original content, Netflix has conjured up a handful of hits, but none more beloved than the ’80s-inspired “Stranger Things.” The fanbase for the series is already MASSIVE, and many of those fans love the show so much that they’ve spent time and money creating their own tributes to it.

The folks over on YouTube channel Toon Doom, for this latest bit of fan art, whipped up a “Stranger Things” 8-bit video game, and though you can’t actually play it, we think you’ll get more than enough enjoyment out of just watching it. The faux game recreates the main plot of the series, so steer clear if you haven’t watched.

And if you haven’t yet watched “Stranger Things,” what the hell are you waiting for?!?!

Currently streaming its first season on Netflix, the hit supernatural thriller “Stranger Things” chronicles the search for a young boy who vanishes into thin air under highly suspicious circumstances. His mother (Winona Ryder) opens an investigation into the boy’s disappearance with local authorities that unravels a series of mysteries involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl. A love letter to the ubiquitous cult classics of the ’80s, “Stranger Things” is also a coming-of-age story for the boy’s three closest friends that draws them into a world where mysteries lurk beneath the surface.
