We spent a large chunk of this week celebrating the glory of the 30th anniversary of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, and tomorrow we’ll be running an exclusive interview with the film’s director, Tom McLoughlin.

Interestingly enough, Tom let it out of the bag that Code Red will be bringing the awesome 80’s spookfest One Dark Night (review) to Blu-ray, and this news has me elated as it’s one of my favorite movies ever.

Even cooler? Tom also told us he’s currently working on a remake of the flick! Hey, Tom! I’m ready to be a floating corpse when you are! I give good dead! Ask Romero!

Directed by McLoughlin, 1982’s One Dark Night (retrospective) starred Meg Tilly, Melissa Newman, Robin Evans, Leslie Speights, Elizabeth Daily, and Adam West!

Synopsis:
A strange man named Karl Rhamarevich dies shortly after discovering a way to become even more powerful in death through telekinesis. On the night of his burial in a crypt, Julie is to spend the night there as part of an initiation rite, supervised by two other girls. The crypt becomes a scene of horror as Raymar returns to life and deploys his horrifying telekinetic powers, with coffins sliding out and splintering open to release decaying bodies on Raymar’s command. The bodies soon begin to menace the three girls trapped inside. Will they survive the horrific night in the crypt?
