Bitchin’ New Artwork: Closed for the Season

default-featured-image

Genre poster art has for too long been dominated by the floating heads of pensive teens. Hollywood churns these puppies out one-by-one. Leave it to the indie filmmakers to get things right!

Below you’ll find the one-sheet for a movie we last reported it on way earlier in the year, Closed for the Season. Seriously? I’d hang this shit on my wall in a heartbeat!

“Closed for the Season stars Aimee Brooks (Monster Man, The Mangler Reborn, Critters 3), Damian Maffei (the upcoming Joe R. Lansdale’s Mister Weed-Eater, Thomas Jane presents Suckerfish), and Joe Unger (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Leatherface, Broke Sky). Written and directed by Jay Woelfel (Live Evil, the upcoming Season Of Darkness with Richard Hatch, Tim Thomerson, and Tiffany Shepis, Unseen Evil) and produced by Jay Ellison and Jon Wagner with creature design and creation by Tony Gardner’s Alterian Inc. (Army of Darkness, Lord of Illusions, The Blob, Seed of Chucky), the movie is based upon folklore surrounding a once flourishing, fun-filled amusement park in Chippewa Lake, Ohio.”

The flick tells the story of Kristy (Brooks), who finds herself trapped inside a decaying, abandoned amusement park with James (Maffei), son of the park’s caretakers. The pair finds themselves being tormented by a mysterious carny (Unger) and the long discarded and decrepit attractions of the park.
