Fangoria FrightFest Cover Art Blow Out!

With voting officially starting today, the cover art for all eight films entered into the Fangoria FrightFest film competition has landed with a splat in our mailboxes, and we’ve gotta say some of them are real winners. Ready for a little art-based terror?

The Fangoria FrightFest was born out of a partnership with Lightning Media to distribute independent horror films via DVD, Video on Demand and Digital Download. They’ll be bringing us some wicked titles such as Pig Hunt, Fragile, Grimm Love, Dark House, Hunger, Road Kill, The Haunting and The Tomb.

If you stop by the official FrightFest site, you’ll have the opportunity to check out film trailers and other extra material while casting a vote for your favorite film. The winning flick will then go on to receive a big-screen theatrical release in July!

Enough talk! Dig on the goods below!

Fragile & Pig Hunt have been out in Australia for ages now – sorry to say, but both are utter crap! Pig Hunt was sooooo dissapointing..I had high expectations for it, even as a trashy creature feature. Don’t be fooled -the cover art is awesome but the movie ain’t!

I saw Road Train aka Road Kill at the Dungog Film Festival recently here in Oz – very cool film with some neat moments. Plus a very hot blonde chick in it :) I reccomend checking it out.

Haven’t seen the others so can’t comment on those. Be interesting to see if they get a release here in Oz.

I am riding Road Train aka Road Kill all the way!

THANK YOU Woman in Black! Fragile being 1/3 Lifetime Woman in peril is enough to keep away from that like it’s the plague thanks

I’M ALL FOR PIGHUNT AND DARKHOUSE!!!

Fangoria has nabbed some pretty impressive titles for their new line. Definitely a huge step up from all those bad “Fangoria Presents” titles from several years back.

While the first half feels ridiculously long and badly paced, the final 45 minutes of Pig Hunt make it essential viewing. Some of the craziest shit I’ve seen in a long time. Glad it’s finally getting a release.

Dark House,Fragile, and The Tomb are available now on a movie site I go to….so I’ll definitely check them out. I would like to hear more about/opinions of/maybe a clip of….Hunger and Grimm Love (seeing as how it’s “based on a true story” and all). Road Kill=Joy Ride 3 i’m sure, but I’ll definitely see it.

Don’t expect too much from Fragile. It’s decent but really loooooong and drawn out and somewhat confused about what it wants to be. It’s 1/3 medical drama, 1/3 Lifetime woman in peril, 1/3 ghost story. The ghost part is pretty well done, though; it’s just too bad there’s not more of it.

Well, now I know which one I will watch LAST! LOL Thanks for the info.

Those covers are truly-BAD ASS! I like them all.

  • The Woman In Black

I’m really hoping Dark House gets the highest rating. It’s definitely the best of what I’ve seen so far.
