More Old West Supernatural Horrors Abound in The Dead and the Damned

The Old West seems like the new horror hot spot lately, and that’s just fine with us! Nothing like playing a little cowboys and zombies to get you through the day, and that’s exactly what we’re getting when it comes to Rene Perez’s The Dead and the Damned.

Like what you see below? The flick will soon be premiering at San Francisco’s Another Hole in the Head film festival. You may just wanna mosey in and check it out fer a spell.

Dig on the plot crunch and the trailer below, and for more visit the official The Dead and the Damned website.

It is 1849 in Jamestown, California, and the Gold Rush is in effect. The local miners are eager to search every day, hoping to come out on top with the best and most gold from the hills and valleys. During an expedition the miners stumble upon a rock (actually a meteor), and they bring it into town. While trying to figure what this rock can be, the locals release deadly spoors located inside of the meteor, and soon the town’s population begins to turn into deadly bloodthirsty zombies/mutants. Will the remaining townsfolk survive this unspeakable event?

I love horror, I love westerns. I wish the trailer had been stronger; I felt like I was seeing slight variations on the same scene throughout.
