Most of our San Diego Comic-Con coverage here on Dread is designed to make sure you guys don’t miss a beat, even if you’re not attending the event; but for those who are, we wanted to draw your attention to two upcoming horror panels that you might want to check out. So read on for details!

First up, the “Bold Voices of Contemporary Horror” panel takes place Friday, July 22, from 6-7 PM in Room 7AB. Experts including horror streaming service Shudder’s curator Sam Zimmerman, Sundance Film Festival’s Adam Montgomery, XYZ Films’ Mette Marie Katz, Spectrevision’s Elijah Wood, and more discuss the indie horror movies that everyone will be talking about next.

This panel will feature chats with these daring filmmakers and a sneak peek at their frightening work. From festival darlings to hugely anticipated films that just wrapped production, this is the place to come to find out what to keep an eye out for in the coming year. Not for the faint of heart! Filmmakers on the panel include producer Eric B. Fleischman (Carnage Park) and writer/director Sophia Takal (Always Shine). It will be moderated by Clarke Wolfe (Collider/Nerdist).

You also won’t want to miss the “Interactive Twilight Zone and Horror VR” demonstration, going down on Saturday, July 23, from 8-9 PM in Room 6DE. We weren’t provided with any specific details on that one, but the combination of “The Twilight Zone” and virtual reality should be more than enough to pique your interest.

We hope you’re having fun and drinking lots of water!!
