Stephen King’s It – Awesome Fan Art Gives Us Full Look at New Pennywise

We got our first look at the brand new Pennywise, being played by young actor Bill Skarsgard, just a couple weeks back, and the tease was more than enough to pique our interest. But a tease, at the end of the day, was all it really was. With the horror icon’s face largely hidden in the shadows, it’s very hard to tell what the new character design really looks like – but why wait for the full reveal?!

Using the official teaser image as a starting point, It fan Jeremy Olenski put his skills to the test and drew up a few images of what he thinks the new Pennywise will look like in the Andy Muschietti-directed adaptation, and the art seems pretty on-point when compared side-by-side with the teaser. We’re thinking Jeremy nailed this one, giving us our first real good look at Skarsgard as Pennywise.

Check out the fan art below, which depicts Pennywise in three different stages!

In the new It adaptation, Jaeden Lieberher, Finn Wolfhard, Nicholas Hamilton, Jack Dylan Grazer, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, and Jeremy Ray Taylor will play the kids Pennywise terrorizes.

Creature performer Javier Botet has signed on for an undisclosed role, but given the actor’s body of work, we cannot wait to see what he has cooked up! Owen Teague will play Patrick Hocksetter, part of a group of bullies who torment the Losers’ Club. He is a psychopath and keeps a refrigerator full of animals that he’s killed.

Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg, and Barbara Muschietti are producing.

The story follows a group of kids called the Losers’ Club who defeat a creature called It. Years later, the creature returns; and the former club members, now adults, have to band together again even though they have no memory of the first battle. The story will be spread across two films.
