Campbell Vacations With Stanley?

And speaking of Bruce Campbell (which we did here), some very interesting news is starting to float in from the various screenings his latest film, My Name is Bruce, has had across the country.
According to the site Film Ick, Campbell is in final negotiations to star in Richard (Dust Devil, Hardware) Stanley’s next film, called Vacation. Campbell will play a businessman who, along with his stripper girlfriend, attempts to climb the power structure set up in the Middle East after an apocalyptic event has wiped out most of the Western world.
I can see a bit of controversy coming out of that, which Stanley’s never been one to shy away from and I’m sure would do the film’s word of mouth some good. Though it doesn’t sound like the horror elements will be too strong, Stanley’s still an uber-talented director and Bruce Campbell is … well, Bruce Campbell. This could be a damn good move for both sides.
