New Clip from Chistopher Smith’s Black Death

We have always wanted a clip from someone’s death, be it black or otherwise. I mean if only out of morbid curiosity. What’s that? Oh, this is for the movie? Well … okay then!

Check out an age restricted clip below courtesy of IGN, which features one of the flick’s battle scenes. Black Death, directed by Christopher Smith (Creep, Severance, Triangle) and starring Sean Bean, is set in an apocalyptic medieval world and details the story of a band of brothers whose quest is to hunt down a necromancer against the backdrop of the first outbreak of bubonic plague in England.

“Medieval England has fallen under the shadow of The Black Death. In this apocalyptic world filled with fear and superstition, a young monk called Osmund is charged with leading the fearsome knight Ulric (Sean Bean) and his group of mercenaries to a remote marsh. Their quest is to hunt down a necromancer – someone able to bring the dead back to life. Torn between his love of God and the love of a young woman, Osmund discovers the necromancer, a mysterious beauty called Langiva. After Langiva reveals her Satanic identity and offers Osmund his heart’s desire, the horror of his real journey begins…”

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

Bloody little battle scene. Head decapitation included. Sweet!!

Abashed the Devil stood and felt how awful goodness is.

Not a bad scene though I think Smith can do better.

This one has a great director and talented writer; I’m hoping for brilliance.
