More on the Fright Night Remake ... Location, Location, Location! Some more tidbits coming to light today concerning the upcoming remake of the Tom Holland classic, including just where all of the vampiric action is set to take place.

In an interview with writer Marti Noxon over on Variety, Noxon revealed that Fright Night will be set in Las Vegas with a more badass vampire than the current vogue. “He’s a much more ‘Jaws’-like vampire in the Amblin tradition,” Noxon says.

The new version, directed by Craig Gillespie, sticks to the original concept of a teen (Anton Yelchin) being convinced that his new neighbor is a vampire, though no one will believe him.

Colin Farrell has the plum role of the vampire, named Jerry, who on the surface appears to be a cool guy but is really preying on the neighborhood. Chris Sarandon played the role in the 1985 pic.

Toni Collette is Yelchin’s mom, who at first disapproves of the new arrival but changes her attitude when she meets the magnetic man and — surprise — doesn’t believe her son when he tries to tell her Jerry is a vampire.

According to Shock Till You Drop, they’ve heard rumblings that Peter Vincent will be a Criss Angel-type. Being that the flick takes place in Vegas, that kind of makes sense. Hit up the link for a bit more.
