Trailer and Full Synopsis for Jaume Balaguero’s Fragile

Trailer and Full Synopsis for Jaume Balaguero's FragileWe previously told you about Fangoria’s FrightFest, a partnership with Lightning Media to distribute independent horror films via DVD, Video on Demand, and Digital Download; and now we’ve got some additional details and a trailer for one of the films, Jaume Balaguero’s Fragile.

Synopsis:
Set and filmed on Britain’s Isle of Wight, the award-winning Fragile takes place in a children’s hospital that has been the scene of a railroad accident and is due to shut down after nearly a century of service. Calista Flockhart stars as Amy, an American nurse who is sent over from London to help out and discovers that the eight kids who still reside there believe something invisible — and menacing — is haunting the premises. Richard Roxburgh and Spanish actress Elena Anaya, both previously seen in Van Helsing, co-star.

Special features on the Fragile DVD, which is due out on August 6, will include a behind-the-scenes featurette, a look at the creation of the film’s visual effects, and trailers for all eight FrightFest entries.

Click the below image to view the Fragile trailer on Fangoria.com, and then stop by the official FrightFest site between June 21 and July 19 to vote for your favorite film (the other candidates are Pig Hunt, Grimm Love, Dark House, Hunger, Road Kill, The Haunting, and The Tomb). The winning flick will then go on to receive a big-screen theatrical release in July!

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

The US may be the last place in the world where this gets a release… Anyway, a killer opening and the first 40 minutes or so are excellent. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t hold up for me.

  • Vanvance1

I’m actually looking forward to this one. Mind you, when it comes to ghost stories I’m an eternal optimist.

    • FireRam

Same here. I enjoy a good ghost story. Especially a vengeful one!!
