Franchise Return Saw: Legacy Tortures the Spierig Brothers

If it’s Halloween, it must be Saw. Okay, so a new installment in the Saw franchise isn’t headed our way this Halloween season, but as we learned last week, one will enter production right around the time we all start carving pumpkins and eating things that vaguely taste like whatever the hell pumpkins taste like.
The new film, tentatively titled Saw: Legacy, will go into production in Toronto on September 12 and film until October 21, and we now know who will be seated in the director’s chair(s). As revealed by the Ontario Media Development Corporation’s latest media list, brothers Michael and Peter Spierig will direct.
The Spierig Brothers previously directed Daybreakers and Predestination.
Mark Burg and Oren Koules will produce, with Peter Block and Dan Heffner exec producing.
