NOSE NOSE NOSE EYES! ALTER Releasing Short Films During WiHM

ALTER has pretty big plans for February. Coinciding with Women in Horror Month, the home for horror is exclusively releasing three short films directed by women. The first is Nose Nose Nose Eyes!, an unsettling Korean short film, directed by Jiwon Moon. Check out the trailer embedded at the top of the article; you can watch the entire short film below.

Synopsis:
The terrifying day a ten-year-old girl witnesses her mother stabbing her father’s eyes to get insurance money.

ALTER will release LVRS (a Lynchian-esque experimental horror film by Emily Bennett) tomorrow (February 12th) and MAKR (a United Arab Emirates exorcism film) on February 25th. Check back for those.

Director Statement:
The idea for Nose Nose Nose EYES! came from an existing female criminal known as “Lady Uhm.” Lady Uhm stabbed the eyes of her family and blinded them in order to get insurance money. Nose Nose Nose EYES! tries to picture the life of the young girl who has such a mother, and asks the audience the following questions. “What if your mother is a psychopath who harms your family to get insurance money?” “What if you are a ten-year-old girl living under the absolute influence of such a mother?”
