What if Dracula were brought back to life to fight the Nazis? Acclaimed Hollywood screenwriter Patrick Sheane Duncan (Mr. Holland’s Opus, Courage Under Fire, Nick of Time) answers this question in his new novel, Dracula vs. Hitler, a spirited and ingenious reworking of Bram Stoker’s legendary Dracula, arriving October 25th from Inkshares.

The novel is written in an epistolary format like Stoker’s original tale — letters, journal entries, and newspaper clippings guide the reader through the most epic battle in centuries, revealing the hearts and minds of Van Helsing, Adolf Hitler, and Prince Dracula himself. Pre-orders are currently available on Amazon.

At the beginning of World War II, Professor Van Helsing and his fierce daughter, Lucy, have united with guerrilla forces in Transylvania to defeat Adolf Hitler and his army. But the valiant team is no match against Nazi brutality. Only someone sadistic and relentless can match the depredations of the Gestapo. And luckily, Van Helsing happens to know just the guy.

Prince Vlad Dracula, the onetime ruler of Transylvania, might be an insatiable vampire, but he’s also a patriot. When Van Helsing revives the legendary Count Dracula from his tomb, the professor unleashes a killing machine upon their mutual enemies. Dracula is more than willing to drive out his country’s invaders, especially if the task includes all the German blood he desires. But when Hitler, who yearns to be immortal, hears that Dracula lives, he heads to Transylvania for the ultimate battle. Can history’s deadliest villain be defeated by the world’s most monstrous legend?

As clever and well-researched as it is chilling and captivating, Dracula vs. Hitler is an enthralling yarn, drenched in authentic history, eerie intrigue, and of course, blood.

Synopsis:
Ravaged by the Nazi Secret Service during World War II, Romanian resistance forces turn to one of their leaders, Professor Van Helsing for any way out. To fight these monstrous forces, Van Helsing raises a legendary monster from centuries of slumber… Prince Dracula himself.

Once he was the ruler of Transylvania. Prince Vlad Dracul, is, above all else, a patriot. He proves more than willing to once again drive out his country’s invaders. Upshot: No one minds if he drinks all the German blood he desires.

In Berlin, when Hitler hears about the many defeats his forces are suffering at the hands of an apparent true vampire, he is seduced by the possibility of becoming immortal. Thus, two forces are set upon a collision course, the ultimate confrontation: superpower against superpower.
