Next up for 3D Conversion – Wes Craven’s My Soul to Take

Wes CravenAnd the 3D conversion train is chugging along on its tracks, though we cannot imagine it not being derailed soon. Box Office Mojo is now reporting that Wes Craven’s My Soul to Take is the next flick up for conversion. When will Hollywood end this not meant to be madness?

Wes Craven’s My Soul to Take will hit theaters this Halloween season on October 29th. That’s right, kids! Between this, Saw VII 3D, and Paranormal Activity 2, October 2010 is shaping up quite nicely!

Synopsis
In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer.

Adam “Bug” Heller (Max Thierot) was supposed to die on the bloody night his father went insane. Unaware of his dad’s terrifying crimes, he has been plagued by nightmares since he was a baby. But if Bug hopes to save his friends from the monster that’s returned, he must face an evil that won’t rest … until it finishes the job it began the day he was born.

You're such an inspiration for the ways that I will never, ever choose to be.

Wes Craven sucks, he’s a hack, this plot sounds like a regurgitated idea from NOES, and 3D is lame. I got that out of the way.

i think this will be horrible. but 3d on top of it removes all suspense.

This pisses me off to no end. What part of whose ass did the exec who decided this pull the idea from? Craven has never needed 3-D to make an effective scary film before.

I’ve really been anticipating this movie, because it sounds like a return to his old-school, straightforward, creative horror days.
Now I can only hope it gets a 2-D release as well, otherwise I’m going to have to wait until I can rent it.
    Fucking studio dipshits.
