default-featured-image

Yes, you read the above headline correctly! Some brand new imagery from behind-the-scenes of the zombie epic to end all zombie epics, George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, has surfaced; and what a glorious time we live in that we can dig on them right now!

Way back in the Seventies photographer Richard Burke scored himself what many would consider to be a dream gig by being assigned to take pictures of the filming of Dawn of the Dead by Pittsburgh Magazine.

Decades later Burke has rediscovered his original negatives and started putting them up both on his commercial site and of course on his personal blog.

You can check out a couple of samples below; for the rest hit up the above links. We here at Dread Central would like to take this time to thank Richard for sharing his own personal treasure trove of Dawn goodies with fans everywhere!
