Paramount, Platinum Dunes, and Room 101 Bringing On New Monsters

Remember that news story a while back in which Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller stated that he and partner Andrew Form are looking to get away from the horror genre for a bit? Yeah, well, not so much.
Variety reports Paramount is getting busy setting up an untitled horror project penned by Mark L. Smith (Vacancy) with Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, and Andrew Form along with Room 101’s Steven Schneider.
Nothing much has been revealed plot-wise but the yet-to-be-titled project is said to be in the vein of I Am Legend, Aliens, and The Descent.
Truth be told, we’re happy to see the guys at PD making something original. Yes, The Monster Squad is still coming, but at the very least they’re beginning to look elsewhere again in terms of content. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one.
