Will The Rock Lay the Smack Down as The Wolf Man?

For a guy who’s so well-shaven that you won’t find a single hair on his head or body, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson may seem like an odd choice to play the hairiest movie monster of them all. Then again, The Rock has proven over the years that he can do pretty much anything, so you can color us excited about this rumor.
But is it actually happening? It’s impossible to tell at this point in time, but it is certainly worth noting that Deadline – in an otherwise unrelated story – made mention of the fact that Universal Studios reportedly wants the big Johnson for its upcoming reboot of horror classic The Wolf Man.
The film will be part of Universal’s Avengers-style shared monsters universe, and it will essentially wash The Wolfman 2010 completely off the map. Sorry, Benicio.
Tom Cruise will star in universe-starter The Mummy, while Johnny Depp has been cast as The Invisible Man.
