Back in 2013 Michael Coulombe’s short Ax garnered quite a bit of praise, including a pretty positive review from our own Doctor Gash, who said the film “makes the most of its runtime [and] is certainly worth a look.”  Now a feature version, which adds an “e” to the title, is on its way; and we have some early casting news for you.

Adam Huss (pictured below, “Power”) has joined the project in the lead role of James Scott. His co-stars include Richard Riehle (Chillerama, Texas Chainsaw 3D), Todd James Jackson (who starred in the original short), and Starr Gilliard.

Axe is written and directed by Coulombe based on his short. It is produced by Shaun Cairo, CEO of Shakir Entertainment Management and Coulombe’s manager.

You’ll find the synopsis below; look for more info soon!

Synopsis:
What drives a man to madness? When James and his wife, Chrissie, move back into his childhood home, James becomes haunted by disturbing memories of his past that begin to alter his perception of reality.
