Finally – First Footage From French Fright Flick The Pack (La Meute)

We’ve been talking about Franck Richard’s The Pack, or La Meute for you purists out there, for a couple of years now; and finally, FINALLY, the first footage has hit this crazy thing called the Interwebs!

This latest taste of what’s to come is courtesy of the film’s official Facebook page, but be warned it’s in French with no subtitles. Still … it does feature some creatures doing their thing, and that sells it in any language, does it not?

The film starring Philippe Nahon (High Tension) and Yolande Moreau (Amelie) centers upon what happens “in the middle of a snowy no man’s land when Charlotte picks up Max, a hitchhiker; they stop in a truck-stop restaurant, and when Max doesn’t come back from the bathroom, Charlotte starts looking for him in vain. She decides to return during the night but gets kidnapped by the bartender, La Spack, who turns out to be Max’s mother and needs to feed her kids, the pack, a bunch of blood-lusting ghouls. Charlotte now faces a terrifying reality: These ghouls are already dead … and hungry. Alone and in the middle of nowhere, she quickly realizes she’s next on the menu.”

The guy in the video (?the director?) compares the movie to Rob Zombie… I hope he does not mean Rob Zombie for his Halloween movies… And if he does, let’s hope he’s wrong.

In any case, I am interested in seeing this.

The guy in the video is Benjamin Biolay, a french accomplished singer / rookie actor (Max in the movie). He explains that when he was reading the scenario, it reminded him of Rob Zombie and as he’s a big fan of that kind of movies, I’m pretty sure he’s talking about the “good” Rob Zombie, not the “Halloween” one !
And sorry about my bad english but as you probably already guessed it, I’m french…
