Texas Mother Arrested After Attempting to ‘Stop the Bullies’ With Tainted Drink [Horror IRL]

A Texas mother has found herself in legal trouble following an attempt to protect her son from schoolyard bullies.
KSAT reports that Lynn Rossi of San Antonio mixed a non-toxic concoction for her 10-year-old son, a student at Legacy Traditional School-Alamo Ranch, to take to class and share with the child who stole his Prime energy drink the day before.
The beverage contained a mixture of salt, vinegar, Gatorade, and lemon juice. According to a police report, Rossi told local law enforcement that she “only did it to stop the bullies at her son’s school”.
Although the mixture is nontoxic, the child who drank the concoction fell ill shortly after consumption, experiencing nausea and a headache. The victim eventually had to be taken to the hospital.

Following an investigation, Rossi was arrested and taken to Bexar County Jail on charges of injury to a child resulting in bodily injury-reckless by omission. The Texas mother was later released on a $1,000 bond. The suspect is expected to appear at a pre-trial hearing in April.
Legacy Traditional School-Alamo Ranch issued a statement regarding the ordeal:
“On Tuesday morning, March 5, a Legacy – Alamo Ranch student brought a homemade beverage to school and shared it with classmates, resulting in one student requiring medical attention. The concoction – which we understand included a mixture of lemon juice, salt, vinegar, and Gatorade – was immediately confiscated by school staff members and administrators, and local law enforcement was notified. The student who initially brought the drink to school will be subject to disciplinary actions in accordance with Legacy policies governing student conduct.”
