Zombies on CBS?

Spy photos of Babylon Fields shoot!I’ve heard of stranger things, yes, but not many.

Apparently one of the boys at Icons of Fright stumbled upon the final day of shooting for a TV movie called Babylon Fields, going down in the quiet borough known as Long Island. The movie is being helmed by “Dexter” and “Six Feet Under” regular Michael Cuesta and, according to what their scooper could suss out from a helpful production assistant, will serve as a pilot for a potential series.

As you can see from the pic on the right (a lot more are over at Icons of Fright), the zombies here are old-school, no ghastly KNB-esque work was to be found, at least not from the short time the reporter was on-set. The show itself is about the dead returning to life (duh) in order to, as IMDB puts is, “restore old wounds”. I have no idea what that means.

Babylon Fields is described as a comedic drama, which fits with what the Icons scooper was told, which is that they’re going forward with tongue in cheek for the most part. Sounds like it could be fun, just still can’t get over that we’ll be seeing the undead on CBS soon … Click here for a lot more pics from Babylon Fields!

ALIEN Day Gets Emotional With This In Memoriam Video

Published

on

As we all know, April 26 is Alien Day. A reference to LV-426, the planet from both Alien and Aliens, today has been a celebration of the 20th Century Fox franchise that began in 1979 with director Ridley Scott and writer Dan O’Bannon’s screenplay. For nearly 40 years, the Xenomorph has terrorized audiences in multiple films, dozens of comics, plenty of video games, and more merchandise than pretty much any home could ever hope to store. But while we flood our timelines with the joy of celebrating this storied sci-fi/horror franchise, we should also take a moment to remember those that we have lost along the way.

It’s with this in mind that Job Willins has created a stirring and beautiful “In Memoriam” for the characters throughout the films whose lives have tragically been cut short either by an alien being or through their own stupidity. Yes, I’m looking at you scientists from both Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.

So let’s bow our heads and lend our thoughts to the poor souls who have died so that Weyland-Yutani’s shares could go up a quarter of a percent.
