New Trailer Offers Best Look at Dead Rising 2 Yet!

Lucky folks attending Capcom’s annual media event Captivate in Hawaii were just treated to the unveiling of a brand new trailer for the zombie-laden mega opus Dead Rising 2. Thankfully news travels at the speed of light nowadays, and we have the trailer for you right here, right now in its entirety.
In this follow-up to 2006’s Dead Rising, the game takes place a few years later, and the zombie parasite that originated in Santa Cabeza has spread all over the United States. This time you’re Chuck Greene, former national motocross champion who somehow finds himself caught in the middle of the zombie apocalypse in Fortune City (modeled after Las Vegas). Just like Frank West (Dead Rising 1), Chuck must survive through every zombie horde he gets into as well as psychopaths and rescue survivors. Among the survivors is Chuck’s own daughter, which serves as his primary motivation for battling the undead.
Producer Keiji Inafune takes it one step further by saying in an interview that part of Chuck’s quest will include forced participation in the violent game show “Terror is Reality”
To get you even more excited, the game will feature two-player co-op mode throughout the story! Look for more on this one soon. Dead Rising 2 will be in stores on August 31st.
