Women are responsible for making no shortage of awesome horror movies and playing some of the most iconic characters in the genre’s history, so it’s quite a treat that a female-driven anthology film is in the works. Some of the genre’s most talented writers, directors, and actresses are teaming up for XX, and we’ve got a new image for you today.

Directors attached include Karyn Kusama (The Invitation, Girlfight), Jennifer Lynch (Surveillance, Chained), Annie Clark (aka St. Vincent), and Jovanka Vuckovic (The Captured Bird, former editor of Rue Morgue Magazine).

Synopsis:
XX is a female-driven horror anthology with each director given full creative license to tell any story they choose revolving around a female protagonist. While the directors have been given free creative rein within budget and time constraints, all of the segments themselves will involve the horror genre.
