Lilith’s Awakening Trailer Has David Lynch Seal of Approval

Fans of David Lynch are surely aware that he does more with his time than make films, as he also has his own coffee line and can often be found spreading the gospel of Transcendental Meditation. In fact, Lynch is so into TM that he mentors students who share his interest, and one of them is a budding filmmaker in her own right.
Writer/director Monica Demes makes her debut with Lilith’s Awakening, which premieres at Hollywood’s Dances with Films festival on June 11th. The film, as evidenced by the trailer I’m actively seguing into, was made with guidance from Lynch himself, and it looks to have his style all over it. Get your first look below!
The film stars Sophia Woodward, Barbara Eugenia, Steve Kennevan, Mathew Lloyd Wilcox, Sam Garles, and Eden West.
Synopsis:
Lucy is a sexually repressed woman trapped in a loveless marriage and a dead-end job in a small Iowa town. The highlight of her existence comes at night, when she dreams of a mysterious and beautiful woman who haunts the woods outside her modest home. One night a mechanic who works for her father forces himself on Lucy, awakening in her an uncontrollable dark force. When he makes her promise to meet him later at his hideaway in the woods, it may be the girl of her dreams – not his – who shows up for the fateful rendezvous.
