Eerie Goes Mobile

The Eeerie Horror Film Festival goes mobile! The annual Eerie Horror Film Festival, going down this October 10th-14th, has just added a feature to their voting system that is going to make it even easier for fans to choose their festival favorites.

Today EHFF announced that they’ve teamed with TechGenii, INC. to bring film time alerts and voting capabilities to festival attendees’ mobile phones. “I am thrilled that our festival is partnering with TechGenii for the 2007 season,” said festival president Gregg Ropp in a press release. “I have no doubt that the addition of text messaging will provide our audiences with a unique and entertaining experience and will allow them to be more actively involved in the proceedings. I look forward to working with TechGenii for years to come,”

Considering the festival will be showing over 40 films in the course of 5 days, such a capability will definitely help fans keep abreast of what’s going on with the festival so they won’t miss a thing.

As you may already be aware we’re teaming with the fest and TechGenii as well, for now just helping to promote the event but with a much more active involvement down the road. In fact our own Uncle Creepy will be part of the advisory board for this year’s event (we first told you about that here), which ain’t a bad gig for a kid from Brooklyn.

Be sure to hit the Eerie Horror Film Festival’s official site for more on the fest, and keep it here for more updates soon! You indie filmmakers out there are going to want to keep an especially close eye on the site, as we’ll have a very cool announcement in the next few days!
